Now it itches as fuck.

Not everything that is dark is mold, it could just be dirt. Contact a professional. nuking it with bleach may solve the issue short-term, but it won't fix the issue that let the mold grow.

Btw, it could be your fault the mold grew (bad ventilation etc.), so don't go full Murica and look for somebody to sue, it could backfire.

That picture isn't very good. Might want to take one closer up. As far as I can see that just looks like bad work with the stuff they use between the tiles in bathrooms. If you are insecure, check it up though.

Yeah, it is mostly in the stuff between the tiles; Some of it has branched off but it's concentrated in it.

I'll speak with the landlady when i can about what's up with it.

Nuke with bleach?

Scrap some of it from the wall and rub it between your fingers, if it's feels oily or somewhat wet then it's likely mold. If it's mostly dry and crumbling it's dirt.

In case of dirt get some soap and get on your knees. If it's mold and a lot of it, talk to a specialist about it.

Edit: Yeah, that's mold and what I would consider as a lot of it. If you feel brave get some mold cleaner and a mask, otherwise get a specialist. You'll probably have to replace the glue. Lot's of the actual mold could be "underground"

3. Can i sue the person i rented this place from for neglect or endangering health or something?

Theoretically, yes. But you can also get sued for infesting the place with mold. If you get a specialist that can prove that the mold was there before you moved in and an inhibitant gets a serious condition from the mold you might have a case. But if the mold could also be caused by something you did or grew because you neglected to keep an eye on it then he could sue you for repairs. So I would think twice about that.

Yes it's mold, yes it can make you sick(symptoms described), probably can't sue due to you not acknowledging it until you were moving out. If you known and reported it and it was failed to be dealt with then you would have grounds for suit. I dunno though people seem to be able to sue for anything these days. Is it worth your time/trouble? That's up to you.

What an incredibly stupid thing to do. If you live in a place where there is a super or something like that have them fix it. If not fix it yourself and stop debating, play it safe and remove the problem.
