Except that people are arguing that their vote really didn't matter in this case. It's a distinct possibility that it didn't.

Not a whine, but I think that the Horde bike would have won in any case. The big names at Blizz are VERY Horde-centric, and probably think of the games as more along the lines of 'da Horde, and some lesser races we let play the game'. I mean, good lord, as I brought up before (with the Corpsegrinder incident), it was only after a MASSIVE backlash that they thought they did anything wrong in that case. Couple that with the supposed treatment of Alliance fans at BlizzCon since then, and a lot of people get the feeling that the devs and Big Wigs at Blizz REALLY don't give a damn about them as players.

It's less about winning a contest and more about how it looks like a major game company is treating a portion of their gaming public, in game AND in public.

Oh for fuck's sake, they had a vote. The Alliance bike lost. End of god damned fucking story. It wasn't a grandiose conspiracy theory. Blizzard isn't plotting against you, twirling their moustaches, and spending however fucking much it cost to have both bikes created just so they could fuck with you in a "fake" vote.

If all they wanted was to add a Horde bike to the game, guess what! They COULD HAVE JUST ADDED A HORDE BIKE TO THE GAME. No vote necessary. No Alliance bike necessary. If they still wanted to make this shitty reality series as well, they could have and simply chosen which bike *they* liked best. But no, they let *us* decide and the majority of *us* simply disagree with the minority that is *you*. Deal with it. They didn't have to let us vote. There's no reason for them to have rigged it. Nonewhatsofuckingever.

If it was straight down the line of people voting for their faction, the Horde would have won by a landslide. Hordecon makes it clear regularly where the majority of the player base lands.

So the Horde bike is going in game. Does this mean Horde only gets the bike or is it a Horde design both factions will be able to get? I see either way ruffling feathers.

Me too. The Horde bike was boring design to me.

I think the Alliance bike would have stood a better chance if it had a wheel in the front like Horde. I saw a lot of people cite that as a major reason they voted Horde.

I see some people crying about mount count numbers. Well, guess what? Lots of other mounts are gone in the game that others have obtained and they have a higher mount count then some of us can possibly get now. Also, the wolf mount for killing Garrosh on normal is going away and lots of people won't have that either. How is this fair to every ones mount count!

Simple. It's called go work for it and obtain it. Horde bike won, simple as that. Alliance don't deserve a bike by that standard. If they do give both bikes it will be pathetic. We had a vote and all that and it would mean nothing. They could have just skipped it all and put them in as a 10th year reward.

Want to get a bike? Re-roll a Horde toon. I myself play both factions and Horde bike looked better.

So now you're trying to claim that Alliance players play significantly more alts than Horde players, to the point that the population swings significantly in their favor despite, apparently, being completely outnumbered in reality? (Or are you trying to imply that these so-called hardcore "Horde fanboys" make even more Alliance alts than Horde alts just to keep the numbers skewed in favor of the Alliance for just these reasons? XD)

While there is a strong argument that in Cataclysm Bliz focused way to heavily on the Horde and in MoP the whole "We could have kicked your ass" bit was really weak at the end for the Alliance, here are the facts about the bikes:

The were crap. The Horde one was simply less crap.

The issues with the Horde bike were:

The tusks were really out place for the rest of the bike. They needed to be aged and broken.
The paint job really looked like a paint job.

The issues with the alliance bike.

The tank treads utterly ruined the feel of the bike. It needed to be wheels. My God if they had been wheels.
Way too much chrome. The whole bike needed more blue... and some gold.

Even if it was a massive conspiracy, the Horde bike was still better.

Blizzard has yet to learn that pitting the Horde against the Alliance in this manner is just driving people away.

Ask yourself: Which faction has more active players? Who plays both factions?

Many didn't even vote b/c A) they didn't know about it or B) they both svcked.
It's a poll that never worked in the first place - biased no matter how much anyone denies it.

This whole competition was a crappy idea from the very start and I've been horde for 5+ years. What did they THINK was going to happen when one side wins and one side loses? You're going to have half of the playerbase feeling dejected and disappointed. How is that fair at all? If they can put the effort into designing two real life bikes for the Horde and the Alliance then they can spare some effort to designing BOTH in game and giving each faction their own.
