Recording music from Keyboard to PC

Should be simple enough to figure out, right? Well I can't find a single site that will just plainly tell me how to do it. Could anyone here end my torment?

What I have:

- Yamaha Digital Keyboard PSR - E343, YPT-340
- One of these
- Xonar DGX Soundcard
- Audacity (presumably that won't work)


What do I need to buy?

Everything, really. How to best connect it so that it can be recorded on my pc.

I tried a cable that fit in Aux in and then put the same cable in Line in (I think) on my sound card. Audacity never picked anything up, so that's what stage I'm at.

Headphone out from keyboard to line in on sound card.

Well you got the usb cable. One side goes to your pc usb the other to your digital keyboard. Dunno what software you could use for that, didn't you get a dvd for that, with some drivers etc?

It's not that simple, also, you mean CD instead of DVD and no, I didn't.

also another for headphone line out on keyboard, to line in or mic on pc,

as far as recording sound windows should have a built in sound recorder, though you won't be able to mix and stuff
