    Lore: Fel Horde vs Legion!

    Howdy.

Im a fan of the Old Horde, and i would like to come back in WoD given the lore that will be in the expansion, even though i dont like the current Horde at all and neither the Alliance. Its hard for a lore player to play in a faction that he doesnt like.

But i would like to ask you something guys.

Do you think after Alliance defeat the Fel Horde would have been marching against the Legion?
Some say that Gul'dan was just a pawn, but i dont think so.
He was power hungry but i think that if he could, he would go on to destroy the Legion and their masters, and with the Eye of Sargeras in his hand that would be the next step.
    Check this video: youtube.com/watch?v=uTkHddWqJ4I&feature=player_detailpage#t=118
    From 2:00 to 2:30.

But you think that Gul'dan with Eye of Sargeras, Fel Grom Hellscream and with armies of Fel Orcs, Ogres and Amani Trolls could have destroyed the Legion?

What common Legion soldier could have taken on the common fel orc soldier (which is known to have tremendous strength)?

They dont have the sheer numbers and specialist the legion have. They would put up a good fight, but they will keep getting chipped away until there is no one left.

    The Orcs? Destroy the Legion?

    Boy, that's a -hoot-!

Even if every Orc could kill ten Burning Legion demons, the Legion could simply overwhelm them with sheer numbers, not talking about their spellcasters and leaders. And good luck trying to use something taken off the -Avatar- of Sargeras against the real deal.

Even if every Orc killed a hundred demons of the Legion, the waves and waves of demons just would not stop. I think in the War of the Ancients trilogy when Broxigar leapt through the portal, that the entire horizon was filled with Legion forces just waiting to invade Azeroth. Millions if not billions if not trillions of demons at the legions disposal.

Compared to what? Like, a hundred thousand Orcs tops?
    You just lost The Game

I don't think anybody can stand up against the full force of the Burning Legion except the full powered Old Gods. I think even the Titans would fall to them.

Only the Old Gods would stand a chance against the Burning Legion.

Hmm i havent read the War of Ancients, but i hardly believe they are that many.
In this game demons is just a name for a sum of races. Just like Azeroth contain some races.
Demons are Felguards, Pit Lords, Natherezim, Eredar (which are corrupted draeneis) etc. Each with their own planets or some of them on same planet.
As i hear some demons fought against the Legion before they eventually submited to them.
If situation would get grim i wouldnt be surprised if Nathrezims (for example) would betray the Legion.

Where is this number from? What, there are a billion of Pit Lords stuffed into a planet?

They are infinite basically, they have consumed WORLDS. The titan Sargeras was fighting the legion long before he became its master, the Legion is infinite because it is never stopping. Constantly consuming worlds, while it failed to consume ours you can be damn sure that it has swallowed and corrupted countless others in the meantime.

While people dislike using wikis there is still a lot of valid and useful information and it is the closest thing we have to having a very detailed account of the Burning Legion.

Wouldn't they be marching with the legion, because, Fel Horde?

If they are Fel Horde it would mean that they are loyal without question to Legion right? I like to think that characters and factions in this game are more complexe than this.
Gul'dan was tainted by corrupted blood and in the video we see how loyal he actually was.

An alliance lasts only untill its purpose is done and sometimes not even untill there.

Legion would crush them quite easily.

HA, no. Whether you THINK Gul'dan was a pawn or not doesn't change the fact that he was tricked into letting out the avatar of Sargeras or whatever was in that tomb and met a gruesome end to it. He was lead along by Kil'jaedan and then abandoned when KJ was done with him, left to rot on Draenor, and then he was deceived by Sargeras. For whatever power Gul'dan might have had, he was always a pawn of larger forces.
