He was pretty unchecked when he took the Stormreaver and Twilight's Hammer to try and get the Eye of Sargeras, and he got torn apart by demons.

Not every master plan is necessarily complex. Think about what he's going after: the single largest reliquary of dead souls on Draenor and the half-dead being of pure light. As far as power goes, thats really damn scary.

While you guys get what becomes Black Temple as your main city and shadowmoon valley, the horde gets another frost tundra with a bunch of orcs.
