Since i haven´t seen a thread on this i´m opening one. What´s your opinion on the new Legend of Zelda recently revealed at E3? Open world Zelda game with absolutely gorgeous artstyle, color me impressed!
Also there´s kind of a controversy going on whether it´s really Link in the reveal trailer or Zelda herself:

It's looking good. The idea of an open world to explore- and in particular, the ludicrously awesome Hyrule we have there- have me VERY excited.

You mean the 2011 tech demo? They already confirmed in January 2013 that the new game won´t look anything like that:

"He discussed Nintendo's new visual approach for the game, which apparently is completely unlike the HD demo shown at E3 2011, but wasn't ready to be shown at this time.Aonuma noted this still-mysterious "new style" developed as his team experimented bringing Zelda's many graphical styles into HD. The producer said over time something entirely new and unique evolved."

I´m glad they didn´t went the realistic route, far too common and really nothing special anymore. This´ll be just as beautiful in 15years as it is now, cel-shaded games age incredibly well a la Wind Waker

Looks really amazing, really like the graphic of it actually. Reminds me of Ocarina of Time/Majoras Mask but in much higher definition and such. The idea of an open world in Hyrule is just awesome too. Hope they stick to that and its huge, would love that!

And the details, like the arrow that you pointed out, never saw it before, that is cool. c:

I mean, you got this new Legend of Zelda, Hyrule warriors (that zelda fans will probably also like) and super smash bros and that is just 3 games. Have we all forgotten of the days where xbox sold units almost primarily because of halo? Consoles get sold because of the games, not because of the consoles, and it is usually one game leading the charge for most people.

Beautiful (like, stunningly beautiful) artstyle... but what has me most curious/interested is the hint dropped by the director, that the player character might not be Link.

I don't have a Wii U, I've stubbornly refused to buy one until a proper Metroid game is revealed for it. But damn, this year's E3 has me rethinking that stance. Not only does SSB look awesome, but this new Zelda, the Yoshi game, and the demo I played of MK8 was just insanely fun. And I think Hyrule Warriors looks great too!

Not interested in any of their games? They literally have over 100. Regarding E3, Bayonetta1+2 bundle and Xenoblade Chronicles X looked awesome too, not to mention that Star Fox tease ^^

I'm just hoping to at least get a bit more information before E3's over. The next Zelda game is always one of my most anticipated games every generation, and this one looks amazing. Also, all this cryptic bullshit they're pulling with, "Is it Link? Is it Zelda? Is it some new character? We won't say!" is driving me crazy.

Edit: In all seriousness, though, my theory in regards to plot (based on its Skyward Sword-esque aesthetic alone) is about the establishment of the Hyrule kingdom. I could be way off base, but I think that would be a cool direction to go.
