    Keep Inscription or level alch?

Well pretty simple question, Drop inscription (i have not done anything with the profession other then make useless scrolls) or level Alch (for the xmute cd). Mind you I already have an alch so it would not be my first. I just find inscription boring and useless outside of the combat bonus for shoulders.

I guess there is not much profit in any of those around this time into the expansion. So I wouldn't bother changing.
I havent used my Alchemist the last months, so small profitmargins so I dont feel like it is worth the time.
Havent cared to lvl up an alt to have inscription though, so dont know much about that market.

I have been making a lot of gold selling glyphs lately, probably because of the level 90 boost... but I get every day in between 1 and 6 k gold, I think that's pretty good.

but its a lot of hassle to post all the glyphs, competition is tough in my server. You can see how to do it by youtoubing posting glyphs with TSM.

Have an alchemist as well, but am only using xmude to make stuff for myself, my main income is glyphs.

Alchemist has historically owned BS/engi professions through their xmute. It's also a constantly in demand professions for pots/flasks.

Inscription on the other hand is already a difficult to enter market where 1 person can and does rule entire servers due to how badly designed the glyph system is, and the DMC trinkets are utter shit (worse than the alch trinket right now) next expansion

I wouldn't consider 1-6k gold in a day good. The time you spent relisting auctions and managing your bank space for glyphs herbs milling etc. (lets say 30 mins) you could spend purely grinding / gathering / rarehunting for a similar gold result.

Most important alchemy is going to be as rich as it always is at teh start of teh expansion, but for the first time since it's conception inscription may be a dead proff at release.

That may be true, you can also get good gold grinding, but I only spend about 7 mins to post all glyphs. I make glyphs once a week only (that can take up to an hour since I do a LOT of glyphs), but the rest of the week, only about 7 mins to post all glyphs, which includes getting mail.

    wait, what?

I currently have around 320 Glyphs in the AH (low-mid pop realm) at the moment and I only spend like 10-15min per day to learn new ones, restock the sold ones and repost all of them. (with the aid of TSM of course)

So, I would consider 1-6k in 15min good. I don't know where you farm that you can top that but please, let me know :>

ANY of the popular gold farming spots. Even for inexperienced people you can get 1k/10min from them. If you include the tiem you take recreating glyphs then suddenly you can compare to 30 mins of farming which is right in the middle.

I personally don't bother with Inscription for much other than making glyphs for my own characters. It's nice when they add/change glyphs or when the level 90 boosts were first introduced, but I just find the amount of time you often have to invest in selling glyphs compared to potions/flasks/living steel a real turn-off. Alchemy craftables are usually pretty low profit, but the current expansion stuff usually sells pretty reliably. Alchemists also get the 2 hour flasks, which is one of the biggest reasons I have the profession any all characters I raid with (and also so I can have all the specialisations) :P
