I'd certainly enjoy having a romantic relationship with Lirael the Abhorsen. <3 I just fell in love with this character, and she also happens to be pretty damn powerful and attractive. Also, her house is on the edge of a waterfall.



Elizabeth Comstock earns and honorable mention here. I never played the game, but hell... there's an infinite number of her, and they can take you to other worlds and realities! That's like, one of the best powers out there.

My other option would be a female version of the Doctor from Doctor Who.

The problem with well-known, recognizable main characters is that the things that make them recognizable are often deal-breakers for the romance department. For example:
-- already taken (spouse, boyfriend, fated-to-be-with, etc)
-- inhuman (robot, dragon, alien, etc)
-- show no interest in romance
-- would kill me on sight (Sylvanas is Exhibit A)
-- have high-demanding jobs or callings that leave little to no time (yes, for me, that's a dealbre3aker)
-- are children
-- are dead (in canon)
-- are completely crazy, or even homicidal
-- and the good all-purpose "out of my league"
