This, also in the countryside people falling in the bog hole/cesspit isn't unheard off, every town probably has stories where people still remember one or more dying to something like that. Even in the western world sewage water systems aren't available in every corner, especially in rural places and accidents where people fall in one of those pits still happen, you don't really have to go as far as china to find something like that.

People on here laugh at a tragedy like this because it involves a outhouse. But, many die each year because of texting on a phone while driving and no one laughs about it. Both what the ones did to save a phone dropped in a crapper and the ones who text while driving are equally dumb.
