Come back to Rift?

Hey guys, I played Rift when it first launched and raided heavily through all the vanilla content when it was relevant. I bought Storm Legion when it launched but lost interest while leveling; I guess I just needed a break.

So I am thinking of coming back and I know it is F2P now so theres no barriers preventing me to play and see for myself, however, I just wanted to ask you guys how the raiding player base is currently with this game. Are there still a decent amount of people who play it or are there only a handful of guilds raiding regularly?

Also, how are the raids compared to ID and HK?

I play on US. There are plenty of raids going on.
