Who's your favorite Twitch caster, or one that you normally follow? Also have you ever donated before and how do you feel about the whole paying someone to watch them play games?

I only follow Lysah... Doesn't stream often.
Seriously there's like one of these "Which hot gamer chick do you pay the most money to?" thread a week. Isn't it like, indirectly advertising?
If I want porn, I'll go watch porn, it'll be cheaper and more fun.
If I wanna watch someone play video games, I'll start up a game and watch myself.
Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.
Just, be kind.
Watching someone I don't know play games while I can be playing instead just seems silly to me. Unless it is a highlight or something there isn't much getting done.
Sco, Landsoul, Sparkuggz, Riot games, some others and a friend who streams minecraft for shits and giggles.
Haven't donated to any, nor do i plan in doing so.
If I want to watch better players play i'll see who is streaming and watch them when I want. I won't tune in because a certain person is streaming, so following a certain person is completely useless for me. Also the whole concept of donating seems dumb, I'd rather donate to starving hungry african kids than fat videogamers.
i usually only watch gamers on youtube.
r.i.p. alleria. 1997-2017. blizzard ruined alleria forever. blizz assassinated alleria's character and appearance.
i will never forgive you for this blizzard.
I have to admit, there's a satisfaction watching someone run Dark Soul 2 first playthrough blind, or hearthstone making some of the most obvious mistakes. However, theres simply too many casters doing it for the money now then as a hobby. Some of them really go out of their way to advertise, plead and beg for subscription/donations.
I no longer watch twitch except for tournament streams (even some of those are obnoxiously loaded with ads and downtime).
Watching mostly Shenryyr, and not subscribed. I prefer making direct donations instead.
Rincewind: Ah! We may, in fact, have reached the root of the problem. However it's a silly problem and so I am suddenly going to stop talking to you.
The better character questionnaire (D&D)
I like to watch quite a few on the WoW section, but I'd say Xaryu is my favourite. He's a really good player and tries to keep up with the chat and respond to everybody, cool guy. Think I've donated a whopping total of 3 dollars to him (1 dollar 3 times).
You're not paying to watch them play games, you can watch them for free, you donate because you want to support their stream and reward them for doing a good job in a sense, same as subscribing.
I'll never pay anyone to watch them play games. They should be doing that crap for free.
But when I do watch twitch, I like to check out Kaceytron because it's funny.
I watch Amaz and Trump mostly, I don't donate but I disable adblock so they still get money from there.
I visit twitch either to watch CS:GO pro tournaments or to check out a game before I buy it.

I see donations as a way to just get your name mentioned by some streamer.
SINR THANKS FOR YOUR 10 CENT DONATION YOU FUCKING ROCK!

We're all newbs, some are just more newbier than others.
Just a burned out hardcore raider turned casual.
I'm tired. So very tired. Can I just lay my head on your lap and fall asleep?

Summit1G, Draskyl, Merlini and Dendi are the ones I watch. I have more followed but do not watch them that often. I have not donated/subbed but if I was going to, it would be to summit. I have been around his stream since he started.
i only really watch lirik, hes very entertaining. especially the role playing in altis life and all the dayz stuff is hilarious as fuck. i enjoy it a lot.
i dont mind at all to watch someone play games, its like watching tv for me. i really enjoy my evening more to just watch the stream instead of playing something myself (since i only tend to play competitive and more intense games, and i want to calm down).
im subbed to him and donated a few.
Lirik is a lot of fun. He usually streams from noon EST to 5, 6 or 7 pm. His 'night streams' (usually after 4pm EST) with GiantWaffle playing Mario Kart 8 or a few other games are very entertaining :)
My husband & I have been watching him for almost 2 yrs now. There are often times where we probably watch more Lirik than tv.

‘golden repair’, is the Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold or silver lacquer. The aesthetic philosophy focuses on imperfections rather than attempting to disguise them, with the intention that the piece becomes both more valuable and more beautiful because of its history and for having been broken.
