With 2k$ I'd probably go all out with a setup that allows me to run 3 monitors

They're not bad builds, but at the same time there are a lot more things an individual can take into consideration. IMO, one of the thing for chaud's build should be an increase in SSD capacity instead of an increase in performance one between the two higher end build.

Plus, there are people that live in different areas of the world. Different areas, different prices, and so on.

I won't comment too much on the peripherals though, since the only thing I'm knowledgeable about are monitors, but P2414H is a good monitor and ZR2440W should be, but I haven't touched an HP thing after the explosive death of laptops our family had. Exaggeration to the extreme.
