Need help wtih some PC upgrades

Hello, I have recently considered upgrading my PC. I have SLI'd 660s and the true bottle neck in my system is my CPU and mobo. I have currently about a $500 budget and have been looking at getting a I5 4590k & Asus Z97-AR. Everything checks out, I would just like to know how much of an fps boost on games I should be expecting upgrading from a foxxcon mobo that has no true name and a AMD phaenom II x6 1040t. Thanks and will be checking for posts regularly.
