As others have mentioned previously things like burnt human hair and melted flesh and fat are pretty vile, but for me the worst thing I ever smelt was a wide open wound on an unfortunate individual, located right between the upper thigh and bum. It had never been treated properly or even washed and had been there for quite a few days at least. I'm not sure what happened to that person afterwards but I'd put money on the entire leg at least being removed.
It was a terrible musky cheesy smell and I've retched a few times recalling the event it as I type this.
