Former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson will serve as president and CEO of a Nevada-based company working to develop marijuana products for sale in states where the drug is legal, such as Washington and Colorado, he said on Tuesday.
The biggest problem faced by companies like this has been extremely poor executive stewardship (go figure), which has pretty much killed any chances for a large enough influx of investors to give the market any serious traction and presumably political sway.

For the first time, a proven businessman (and former governor) is taking the reigns in an extremely risky market. This is also happening during a major acquisition that could be the first of many that will finally get the ball rolling towards larger, better organized firms.
