How different is the hunter class now from 2 years ago?

Coming back to he game but wonder what it is to be a Hunter now.

Doesn't matter as much what we are like now, as what we will be like in WoD. In that case it looks like were are going to wind up being one of the most simplified classes in the game. All of our CCs are being removed except talent tier 2 and freezing trap (no, scatter shot is gone). We are also not getting a single new ability unless you count talent tier 7. We were allegedly going to be given some form of raid utility to bring us up to par with all other classes, but that has not yet been delivered upon yet and we haven't seen any updates on it.

Hunters are only losing things in WoD and not gaining anything as compensation, at least so far.
