Most of those camps are on private land, or in areas where it's not "safe" for them to be. They're not in the middle of no-where, they're in some Farmers field, stopping him from doing his job, and making him fear for his property.
I've not seen a thread that said; "Australia dumps a load of shit on native land! YAY!". No-one supports that kind of thing at all.
What does it matter? People can sit a moralise all they like, doesn't mean it's going to change anything. I like to call them Moral Crusaders. Something comes up, it's on the news, and they're all up in arms about it, then ~2 weeks later they forget.
I agree actually, we ought to just shut up but not because of our past, but because we've no place intervening. Governments are preparing to arm the Rebels in Syria, leading to an Afghanistan v3.0, where we arm Rebels, and then in ~10 years those Rebels form a terrorist group, and we have to go in and fight against the very weapons we sold them.
It's not just Syria, it's around the world. We ought to stop being Moral Hippies, and either step in and do something serious, not half arsed, or just stay out of it.
