Nah, we're still 8 years away.
But I'll start saving money just in case.
Why did you show this to me, now I have to save loads of money for something hypothetical.
I hate you.
It will be probably a terrible game, nontheless i will try it

It has it's ups and downs, personally I found it interesting, although the second season kind of sucked...to an extent. The third season is what's coming out, idc if you count both of those as the first, that's two separate seasons to me, so the Gun Gale story arc is the third.
Tomorrow? Sailor Moon and SA:O 2 the same day? Fuck yea!!!
Also the VR looks interesting until you get locked in there of course. Ha.

Is it the same universe? I've seen both shows, and I know they were made by the same person, but I wasn't aware it was the same universe. Guess that makes sense, all things considered. Good shows, indeed.
Anyway, on topic, it looks interesting, but it's kind of worthless. You can move your head around and see a field. In order for it to actually be interesting you'd have to be able to control everything your character can do, and that's a *long* way off, if it ever even happens.
I'd love to see it, but it just seems very far fetched for now.
There's actually room for a shit ton of arcs. The first season only covers the Aincrad and Fairy Dance arcs, the first 4 books in a 15 book series that's still ongoing. Season 2 may only cover book 5 and 6, depending on how they pace the story it could also include books 7 and 8.
Yeah, I know SAO's fiction and there's no real danger in VR (well, except maybe if you walk with it on, but that's their damned fault). I just think that marketing VR with SAO is akin to using Freddy Krueger to sell Nyquil. It's just not the image you want for your product.
