What happened to this statue in Org?

I don't think I remember seeing this statue in Org anymore. What happened to it and is there any history on it? who it is?

That looks like an older Org(And with people talking about ICC25), so I'm going to guess it was removed when Garrosh revamped Org in Cata.

That's the best I can give you, sorry :/

I assume it's mannoroth. He's the pitlord that Grom Hellscream killed here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCkubpGP98g. Garrosh's shoulders are made out of his tusks. I think there was actually a little sign you could read in front of it that said it was Mannoroth but i don't really remember.

I'm sad to say I don't think I EVER noticed that.

It's Mannoroth. The Pit Lord Grom slayed. Garrosh used Mannoroth's tusks for his shoulders

    EDIT: too late

I do believe that was Mannoroth, the pit lord that Grom Hellscream killed (and died to). Lorewise, Garrosh I believe was wearing the tusks of Mannoroth (that were retconned to look totally way awesomer on his shoulders than in this statue) and I suppose that the rest of his bones were used to construct his newly designed throne that we see at the start of Cataclysm.

Didn't Garrosh also use him to make the new throne in Org unless I'm mistaken?

Garrosh took the statue down and fashioned Mannoroths horns into shoulder pads. This severely pissed me off when I found out. A monument to Grom's sacrifice defiled by his arrogant jackass son.

is that stone? or wood? cause if its wood im gonna assume that it burned down when orgrimmar was practically burned to the ground during the cataclysm. even if it is stone the same thing could have happened.

if not fire...garrosh probably broke it down in his remodel. hell the smug bastard took the tusks of mannoroth from the throne room and decided to WEAR them.

It was a tribute to Grom Hellscreem. Believe it was the Skull(tusks) and armor of Manneroth. The armor hangs behinds Garrosh's throne now i think?

Yeah its Mannoroths skull and armor placed on a tree http://wowpedia.org/Mannoroth

"After the Shattering, Mannoroth's skull was moved above the throne of the new Warchief, Garrosh Hellscream. The ends of the tusks were added to Garrosh's armor, while the skull on Garrosh's shoulder came from a huge predator he hunted and killed himself."

That would be Mannoroth. The orcs built the statue to place the armor of Mannoroth on it to remind the orcs how far they've come and how hard they fought to regain their honor. (Source:- http://www.wowhead.com/object=175658...r-of-mannoroth)

After Mannoroth died, Thrall had the skull of the pit lord mounted on that tree to show to the Horde and all who would enter Orgrimmar that the Orcs had overcome Mannoroth, their blood curse, and that this stood as a tribute to Grommash Hellscream who freed his people at the cost of his life.

The skull was later removed to the new Grommash Hold following the Cataclysm, forming the back of the Horde Warchief's throne. Garrosh had the tusks sawn off to form his distinctive shoulder plates, the ones he was stripped off following his fall.

These demon plates were worn by the creature that first cursed our people with bloodlust. By the heroic act of one brave orc - he was defeated. Mannoroth the Destructor is no more. Let these plates always remind us of how far we've come and how hard we fought to regain our honor.

It was removed from Org when they redesigned the city.
