I'm such a nerd I can't even open Facebook

hey guys!

you'll love this. i'm so bad with computers/internet that i can't even begin to figure out why my mac pro can't load Facebook. it's been like that for the past days and i don't remember changing anything. every other homepage works, except for FB. i get the following message from safari when i try to open the site: safari can't open the page facebook.com because safari can't establish a safe connection to the server facebook.com

do you perhaps happen to have any idea as to how to fix it? would really appreciate it. thanks so much!

Get a PC with Windows or install firefox.

make sure you are using https:// in your browser instead of http://

if that still doesn't work, you may be compromised somewhere, https sites complaining of insecurity is a sign of a man in the middle attack using a program like sslstrip

Google says it's a problem affecting a great many people, so some mong spacked up somewhere with an update.

Google the error to get a load of results and fixes, some talk about resetting web data, cache, cookies, adding certificates etc.
