Stuff i didm't know: (2011) Lightbringer Server H/W unit auctioned

I was going through the WoW product timeline on wowpedia when I ran into this bit of info.

In 2011, the original (retired) server slide for the Lightbringer Realm was engraved and sold for charity.



I totally did not see the news about this at the time. I have no idea how I missed it.

If I had the money, I would totally buy something like this if it were my realm and it came up for auction.

Most* realms were sold.

The server blades were signed and auctioned off to the highest bidder. This was a bit back, and one of the charity programs then recieved the money of the sale. Was quite many blades, happening after the new upgrades to their systems.

Attempted myself to by my server blade, though, some prices went up fast.

i think i looked at it back then but if i remember correctly it went for thousands of dollars
