    Naming Garrison Followers

Can you still do this or was the option removed?

    It was not removed TMK.

You cannot name Garrison Followers. In fact some of them are familiar lore characters, others are characters you meet in quests. They're not pets so naming them would be weird. As for whether this was 'removed' I'm not sure if it was ever actually an option, but no in WoD beta you cannot name them and blizz has said you won't be able to.

Perfect answer right here, OP. Except, at Blizzcon they did say you could, but have
since changed their minds on how followers work, so at one point they could be named.

It was never an option so no, and it doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

They decided the garrison building in which you tied up followers to a post and whipped them until they submitted to a name change probably wasn't the best idea.
