Hey Guys,

first of - sorry for my english, it´s not my first language. :>

I´d like to upgrade my "aged" desktop pc at the moment i run with a phenom x4 965 cpu and a ati hd 6950.

i upgradet my hdd this year already to a ssd from samsung.


Budget: ~500-700€
Resolution: 1920x1080 or higher
Games / Settings Desired: WoW, Future Games ( Dragonage GTA5 Assasins Creed )
Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc): nope
Country: germany
Parts that can be reused: my powersupply (bequiet 500W), ssd and hhd´s, blueray, my case is just fine i think
Do you need an OS? not sure yet, i use windows 7
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)? also not sure, i play with the thought to "upgrade" my monitor. at the moment i use samsung p2450. would like to play on a 27"


what do u guys think of this setup?

I don't see K model available in germany, perhaps you will need to wait for a considerable time.
Don't forget you will also need ram, what you wrote is an ok build, I would go with r9 290 over 280x, but that's just me.

Hiya...don't know much about ASRock MD's so cant advise there. The i5-4690K is a good gaming CPU. The R9 280X is better than the GTX 760. The R9 280X has similar performance to the GTX 770, but it better priced. I got an MSI R9 280X and very happy with it for 1080p gaming. Hope that helps!

Since ASrock pro3 and pro4 usually got the same price i would pick the pro 4 instead. The difference is the pro4 has 4+2 power phase over 4 (so better overclocking board) and has 12k platinum caps that pro 3 doesn't.
