I wouldn't install it on the main gaming rig.

If you have a 2nd PC that you rarely use and especially one that contains no sensitive information, you can always try installing the game on that one.

If it does contain a virus, you can always wipe the hard drive and reinstall the OS without putting your main PC at risk.

Or just run it with some virtualization software. That's even better.
