Tracer and Alarak are on my list "to buy and train" for my training account. For now I am doing very well to just pick map related heroes (+nazeebo on the other 50% of bad maps :P)

Today was a good day maybe I will stroll into HL in the next days after exams. But I won 5 of my 7 games while one would say that one was quite the stomp. Nontheless do I have two gems for you which I am particularly proud of.


I think the lvl difference speaks for itself. Still nice.


This was a much more even game. And having more or less free reign over the battlefield is awesome as tracer.

I will always be amused by all these Assassins who pretend to know how to play Arthas. One game earlier this week I had a Kael'thas who threw the game because I picked Sindragosa instead of Army of the Dead. Just now I had an Illidan who threw the game and blamed me for picking Army of the Dead instead of Sindragosa. The irony is just amazing.

Currently 5-1 in my hero league placements and feeling very happy about it.

Just finished my HL placement games and got diamond 4, played 2 games as a specialist and lost them both. I don't think I should play specialists anymore.

The stupidity of people can be astounding. I explicitly told my team that they were about to fight a 4v5 without me, pinged retreat, and even wrote "BACK". What do they do? They pick the team fight of course! Then it is somehow my fault that from that point on we are behind in xp and they don't even bother defending the shrines, but instead take a camp while the enemy team is not even grouped as shown on the minimap.

Winning the game really handily, we have most of our base up and are a level up past 20, my team is moving as a group.

While moving to a camp we surprise a lone Cassia, and move as a group to engage. She manages to slip away and books it, after tossing out Ball Lightning.

And my team moves as a group to chase.

They're at half health and STILL tightly packed chasing this Cassia to the fucking moon, and this ball is STILL bouncing around, and I'm tearing my fucking hair our because I'm playing Auriel and can't do shit about it.

Theyre all at quarter health when Cassia leads them right into her team, who slaughters them. They then push all the way in at once and win.

Just hit master in HL playing exclusively Gazlowe. I would pick other heroes only if I was last pick and we needed support (I would still go Gazlowe even if we miss tank) or if Gaz was picked/banned (got some bans by my own team after they saw the prepick and when closer to master I was getting some respect bans from the other team).

New Gazlowe is freaking awesome! Started the climb from Plat 4 after placements. Now, to brag:

What build(s) do you mostly go for? I sadly haven't had much success in the few post-patch Gazlowe games I've played.

I've tried many different builds and talents and ended up using this build in almost every game past diamond 2:

1.Always Scrap-o-Matic Smelter (more mana on scrap).
4.ARK Reaktor (turrets on bomb + lower cd), I would sometimes pick steam fists (quest) on Infernal Shrines/Sky Temple/BoE
7.Hyperfocus Coils (except Infernal shrines where I go for XL turrets)
10. Always Robo.
13. Goblin Fusion (4th charge on lazor), except if enemy team has ETC with Mosh or Valeera, then X-tra large Bombs
16. Kwik release charge (except for Infernal Shrines and BoE where I'd go extra turrets)
20.Always Robo.

I don't think Gravo Bomb is bad, it's super effective if you can hit 2 or more heroes, but the problem is that it's hit or miss. It makes you a one trick pony and if you miss it, then you lose most of your value in TF. Robo goblin is fantastically versatile, you can protect back line from divers, you merc and lane clear much faster, you get escape and chase mechanic. It's just a much safer pick over Gravo.

Meanwhile I have been trying to get into Master for a week now. Instead I am back to Diamond 2 because of people throwing games constantly, either by doing big mistakes, or simply not doing a good draft.

Dude, you're crazy. But in a good way.

That feeling when you do 116+k hero damage on Guldan, and lose the game b/c Zera really likes his odds going 1vs3 or 1vs4 and spends more time being dead than alive.

managed to beat back enemy team when our core was 4% no shield and then when they rezed had ulties and the plant terror we pushed them back again and won..it was so damn funny

After playing several games over the course of a week and am still not even close to reaching Master yet, my conclusion of the mmr in this game is that it is complete trash. Despite having a positive win rate since my very early placements, I am now getting negative points from winning games, and winning against higher ranked teams give me nothing to compensate for said loss of points. What the heck is the point of a ranked system if you don't actually get significantly more points for beating higher ranked players?

Played a pretty solid game as Morales. Certainly not my best, but I carried myself well and made a bunch of clutch saves, and had a solid 90k healing done at the end of an 18min match.

Did I get a commendation at the end of the match? No. I did not.

Been trying out Genji, got a Braxis Holdout game and decided to try out a deflect build. We lost both keeps within 10 minutes, somehow managed to cling on until level 20, and then got two wipes of the other team by jumping in and deflecting Cassias Fend (tons of hits) so we could push all the way to core. Twice the hero damage of anyone else on the team. Deflect build seems fun.

Played a Hanamura map as Auriel and everyone kept complaining about my build being the reason we were going to lose. They didn't stop complaining up until about 10s before I had to single-handedly escort a payload that got us the win.

Today was a good day for me.



First time reaching Master League in this game and I did so with my trusty Anub'arak. Took me 120 games in total (played 2 games after reaching Master) and the promotion match I almost lost because of the enemy getting the shrines most of the game on Infernal Shrines. However, we managed to do a complete turnaround because the enemy Falstad was caught out of position trying to push bot, which gave us the opportunity to kill their team before they finished the objective, and managed to push the core with the Punisher. It was a pretty epic comeback.
