    Today I actually had a plenty of nice games, some were good even when lost (we came back so hard at some point but in the end they won thanks to a lucky fear of Gul'dan ult). But last one... I was like 190 points off getting to gold after completing the TL placements today. I had no issues in the games before so I felt confident to give it a try... 2 minutes into a game - DC. Anyone who has got a DC in this game knows what I'm talking about - before you reconnect, the game is over. Sadly, it was lost.

    Just like I said in other thread, I don't remember a game without someone getting a DC. Either on my team or enemy or myself.

    It's my biggest complaint when it comes to HotS as a game - connection.

    best games in heroes are the ones where you go up against team mates from the match before who go afk or douch out when someone dies once and you hammer them into the ground, just feels so rewarding beating people that go out of their way to screw up other peoples games

    Often the A.I is better than ragequiters. Just use ping to make it follow you when you need that.

    Just played a 30min dragonshire QM where we had a Chromie calling people retards from 5mins into the game onwards. Granted we generally played like shit, but you need to have some self-awareness. The game went on for 30mins and he ended up with 34 stacks on his quest. And apart from that, 20 mins into the game they have 4 people dead for 40-50 seconds, he gets dragon knight and goes through mid where there's a fort, a keep wall and a keep instead of bottom where there's only a 15% health keep. Gotta love those people.

    He clearly died because you weren't doing much damage. Totally 100% your fault.

    Played against a top notch Chromie. Flanked us from the back and got deleted, dove into forts to chase half hp targets, got Temporal Loop and didn't hit a single combo and always shot her combo early when someone got hit by a trap.

    But his general idea was that he would get into a Cassia short of range before starting to hit his spells. Luckily for him he was outshone by an even worse Alarak.

    1145 seconds before queue popped, then we got a Zul'jin who AFKd at the start, came back to see we shockingly weren't doing well 4v5, called us all idiots then AFKd for the rest of the game

    Not my game, but seen Splendour (EU GM #11) play - and lose - against Diablo, Sonya, Tyrael, Greymane, Abathur. Never thought a 'no healer' comp could be that hard to punish.

    Just had an awesome Tyrande game with owl build on Battlefield of Eternity. No deaths and 148 own stacks. Hit like a damn nuke.

    Was only quickmatch though, so had a Valla calling all of us cunts the entire time. Goes with the territory.

    That decision making in wood league. Cursed hollow, close game. We get a late game curse, enemy team does their boss during it (!). Cost them all three keeps and we can basically afk to victory after that.

    Been playing Sonya a lot lately, and doing really well. Had like a 15-4 run playing mostly her in various game modes the past few days. She's good at practically everything, and virtually unkillable with a double support comp.

    Probably going to be nerfed soon.

    Honestly, I enjoy both maps way more.

    Volskaya is a lottery where you hope you end up on a team with better mechanics and drafting. On top of that it punishes hard teams where you have players who neglect fundamentals. Out of over 30 games I played, I seen comeback just once, everything else was a massive stomp either way.

    The map has major flaw in having absolutely no win condition apart from winning objective. Everything on this map pushes you towards fighting, which is super frustrating if your team is retarded and does not understand what experience and levels are. There is no other valid strategy if enemy can punish split pushing and even then it can be annoying if your own team fails to realize that your Azmodan player is lasoring down the buildings and throw themselves into bad fights.

    Lane splitting up is difficult as there is no obvious solo lane and once players enter 'their' lane, good luck switching with them if you have favorable matchup against their lane opponent. In both Hanamura and Mines, it being a two lane map, I can just sit and destroy my opponent in a lane and already do half of a job, same goes for maps like Dragon Shire or Infernal Shrines. Only to an lesser extent, I alone can create a huge lead that we can snowball upon.

    Here? Hell no. Even if you crush somebody in a lane, but rest of a team is losing the other two, you are still behind in experience. Once the objective spawns, there is so little to do on a map to create a small advantage on. For example on Infernal Shrines, objective spawns top and we are behind. I can just take Kazras on bottom and push with it, closing the gap and creating a real pressure on enemy team. On Volskaya I can just shove the wave and push with it, the threat is not as big. The only scenario on Volskaya where you can use similar counter pressure is third objective spawn on bottom as the Trooper camp is only on top.

    My point is, the map is fine if you are looking at it from a highly coordinated environment where everybody obeys a call. The objective is easy to defend and if you are behind you could easily push the structures on other side of a map, but it just doesn't work in pub games. Garden of Terror would suffer very similar fate if it wasn't full of mercenary camps that can create counter pressure.

    abathur / murky / nazeebo / thrall / ana vs auriel / lucio / zarya / samuro / guldan, and on volskaya of all maps... qm matchmaking at its finest

    why does it most of the time put all specialists on 1 team and full of assassins on the other... ? i checked this time, noone was in party so it could easily spread specialists through both teams...

    btw i had a crash in hots today, first in... i can't remember last time tbh. did they mess something up with last update or just bad luck?
