    1700$/£1000 pc

I've recently moved to the UK and since I'm here to start a new life I also need a new PC (obviously) for a symbolic sum of £1000 which is around 1700$.
As for now I have come up with this. Could you please advise me what should I change/replace? The current parts on the pcpartpicker are under 1375$ which leave me around additional 325$ - I'm open for suggestions. I know that the prices may vary between US and UK, but 1700$/£1000 price range is just an estimate, so I can exceed it a bit if it makes a better deal.

edit. I have a DVD reader and HDD from my previous PC so I don't need new ones.
    Thank you

Yeah right, I didn't notice there was an UK option on the site but regardless I said that I know that the prices are different in UK/US. I don't need an OS, HDD and the DVD drive, I don't need keyboard/mouse etc. aswell. Just a ~£1000 PC but can go a bit further if necessary, no more than additional £100 tho.

edit. Thanks for the build. I forgot to mention that I'm gonna buy Asus VG248QE in about 3-4 months, so let's just leave the monitor.

I want to stick with Corsair 750D case

So 1k pounds without the monitor is that what you mean? Also what is this rig for just gaming? Do you plan to do any video recording/rendering etc?

    Ok so here's the base:

    You have a few options:
    - Go for a R9 290X instead or gtx780 (290x is more powerful obviously but if for some reason you like nvidia more you have to pay more for almost equal to 290)
    - Go for an i7 4790k which can help you if you plan to do some video editing/recording or simply you don't want to bother overclocking the i5.
    - Get a bigger 512mb ssd.

Comes down mostly to what games you play. If you play mmo's alot that are cpu heavy and you don't want to mess alot with overclocking then an i7 might be a good choice for you. If you play shooters you may want a better gpu. I would say tho that a 290X is not worth the money over a 290 but thats up to you to decide. Or if you wanna go the 100 extra pounds and grab both a R9 290X and then i7.

I'm a nvidia fan and never had a radeon before so I'm still not sure, but I will surely consider getting R9 290X (just read a few comparisons). I also don't want to bother with overclocking and will probably go with the 4790K since I do some After Effects/Photoshop/Cinema4D work. Is there any replacement for GIGABYTE parts though? I've had a bad experience with GIGABYTE products in the past :x
