How do people add you without BT #?

Okay so I just played against someone and after the game he/she added me, had the exact same name as them so I only assume it was the same person.

Anyways I did not accept cause I did not want to read any possible rage rambling. But I want to know how did they add me without actually having my battletag number? On the screen all we get is the name, but we don't see the four digits needed, or am I missing out on something here?

Erm, the game gives you option of adding your last opponent after each game.
It's supposed to be a"social thing".

Look at your friends list after a game, it'll show you the last opponent

I have a memory for names, and that extends to HS as well. Every time I face the same class twice in a row, I have to check the "last played" name to see if it's the same (because if it IS the same person I'll have an insight into their deck and how they play it).
