Hi,
I've been around on MMO-champ for a while. But there is this 1 thing about it that is bugging me since i started posting here:
You don't get a notification when you're being quoted
I think it's really annoying. Sometimes I post in a really popular thread and when I look back at it, there are 50 new pages. Somewhere in those 50 pages there could be someone who has quoted me. I'm always interested in knowing what my quote has been used for or if they asked any questions. Am I the only one who is annoyed by this? Or did I miss a button which makes a notification possible?

What I do when this happens is I click the little blue button beside the title and skim the next 3-5 pages. If I don't see anyone responded to me I go to the end.

Fastest way is to have the maximum number of posts per page and ctrl+F your way through.

As i understand it, the quote citation limitation is with the site itself, not an unwillingness by the owner/authors. If the underlying framework that the web page is built upon cannot support it, then there is nothing that can be done about it short of migrating the entire site to a new framework that does. Which would be a huge undertaking just for one feature.

Would be nice to have a feature that let you know you had a reply. Although in many cases if it's too many pages back I won't tend to respond because that part of the discussion is often long gone. Originally Posted by Bumbasta

People have asked for this lots of times (myself included before I was a mod!), but the answer is still the same: we'd like to do it but don't have an ETA on when we will be able to. Unfortunately, it's not just a setting we can toggle on, and would require custom modifications to the board software.
Trust me, I'd like it too
Anyway since the question has been answered at this point, I'm going to close this.
