I have heard of many cases where women have committed rape. It isn't even any less rare than men doing it, it is just usually associated with the word "Statutory" which makes it much less palatable for media coverage.

I wouldn't want to live near/hire/know someone convicted of "Sexual Assault by Penetration" any more than I would "rape" they're so similar. Rape having a more severe stigma is just a result of people not reading the law when the law on them says the same thing just in different ways, thus splitting it into 2 categories. Women cannot rape (under UK law) but can commit sexual assault by penetration. Whilst that's the crime they're being done for, as far as everyone else is concerned they're still a rapist.

If you do either you're fucked for life. The sentencing disparity comes more from women on the whole getting more lenient punishment for whatever reason, and women can only be tried for one of them, so by having them separate it creates this artificial disparity.
No what I meant was it shouldn't matter if someone was penetrated with a penis or with a fist/fingers/dildos etc. As both cases are invadeing the persons privacy and should have the same sentence. Regardless of it was a man or a woman who did it. (If they have that then sure it doesn't matter.)

    OT:

Absolutely. Every time I encounter the word these days, it's just used as a buzzword to attempt to dismiss whoever it's aimed at, usually completely unfounded.
And it's the idiots who overuse it who's to blame. Want to fight racism? How about you don't call EVERYTHING racism thus completely robbing the term of any meaning or impact.
It's the same with sexism, homophobia, nationalism, socialism, communism, xenophobia, anti-Zionism, zealotry, feminism and pretty much all popularized terms that describe ANYTHING that any group of people might dislike. It's all (on the internet at least) just empty words that half the people using them don't know what really means, and the other half still use it incorrectly to try to make a point through the magic of hyperbole.

I wish we still had some words to describe truly hateful and unjust actions, that still had some impact when used. That you could take seriously.

"I should have guessed that it was some third world country people doing this..."

This means what? They are inferior? You are superior? What, that your race is somehow better, because they wouldn't do what they (the third world peoples) did?

Can you see why someone would call you a racist? It's not that you were referring to their race, but that your kind (first world?) are somehow better and would not act like..well those third world blablabla....

Well the consequences (not talking about physical pain) of penetration by penis can be worse compared to fingers/dildos and so on. You can get an STD or get pregnant.

Did you really type out all of that to get some verification that your poor and lazy political ideas are actually OK?

    Hint, they are not.

Yes the word racism is, like many other words in every language that is in daily use, constantly changing. It was used only for race but now also includes religion and nationality. I assume it will soon also include homophobia. Why would this be a problem?

Lastly, using undocumented third party accounts ("A friend told me he had heard this on street") as an example of how the world has gone mad is just so stupid that I am having trouble finding words.

Well currently i am going to trial for apparently a racial assault, but get this, the guy i hit was actually attacking my female cousin with his wife and beating her to the ground, and because i came to rescue her and fractured his eye socket he pulled out the racist card, now i am facing charges and him and his wife have had nothing done to them. How fucked up is that....

A penis is unlikely to cause any serious physical damage while objects could very well do that.

Hint: This topic isn't about rape, you guys might want to get back on topic, or make your own thread about rape.

This quickly devolved into a discussion of feminism and rape, neither of which were on the agenda.

    Closing.
