Are we gonna get max level legendaries in Molten Core?

Just had a thought... (and this is pure speculation here) what if this max level raid was like a shortened instance akin to what Blizzard does for those dungeons for various holiday events (Coren Direbrew for Brewfest, Ahune for Midsummer Fire Festival, etc.).

You would still zone into a MC that's been updated with max level mobs and bosses but there would only be a few bosses to do (i.e. something like Gehennas, Garr and Ragnaros since they are close together).

If it is level 100, I could see it being ~heroic dungeon gear, or maybe slightly better.

I'm excited either way for this mainly for that core hound mount. Honestly though, the most I can see Blizz maybe doing is throw replica t1 on the bosses, maybe with some recolor or something cool.

No. I would imagine it'll drop timeless isle equivalent or perhaps slightly better ilvl epics with the same look as original T1, so it'll be a loot bonanza for alts and newly rolled characters. Basically level up gear for WoD that'll be replaced at level 91-92. Blizzard has a way of making "catch up" gear increasingly available the closer it gets to a new expansion going live.

I also imagine the bosses using the same mechanics as classic MC, which is to say hardly any, lol. They'll just have a boatload of HP and hit like wet noodles so practically anyone can tank them provided they have a healer spamming on them.

With when the expected release date for WoD is, when the anniversary is (December not near us), and the fact that all they've said is "max level raid" translates into a lvl 100 raid that is only going to be around for a short time.

Because we literally do not know, for a fact, when the expansion will be out. They've thrown curveballs and delayed not just in the past but in this very expansion already so getting your hopes up all the way is self-destructive.

Nope. That's the problem. Take a moment and think why they wouldn't say a number but rather "max." Seriously, just stop for a second and consider why that could be "90." Not that it's going to be, just it would help you considerably in life to be able to do something like this.

The reason why they said "max level" is because they cannot say a number without revealing if the release date is before or after the anniversary. It's very likely to be before, but if it isn't, and they said "level 90" then it would reveal the street date to be after the anniversary and ruin the Gamescon announcement. And if it is "level 100" they've also hurt the Gamescon suspense.

Why wouldn't there be loot? They've never done a raid without loot. Even the elemental bosses they've done for the Cataclysm prerelease event had loot.

It's more like a holiday event than a real raid. I suppose there will be something but it's probably not going to be anything much higher than WoD first raid tier LFR loot, if that.

The raid is only lasting for a day or two. That is no where near enough time to even begin getting the legendary.

I would love for Chromie (or any Bronze dragon) to be standing there when you first create a character so you can talk to them and get ported to the pre-Cataclysm version (including the dungeons). Because that's what I would choose all the time. And I probably would have a constant sub to the game, too.
