    500 dollar wow build.

I need a new computer the one I am on now is from 2009. I have recently noticed a difference since my guild has switched to 25 man from 10 man. The only games i play are wow and diablo. I do not use my computer for anything else but wow. I live in the US. I do need a OS. I do not need any peripherals. I also have no idea how to build a computer. I do not really care about graphic settings, at the moment they are all on low. I just want to raid with better fps. thank you in advance for your help.

Thats a pretty claustrophobic price considering you need an OS.

What I'd recommend... watch a few system build videos, pull the HD from your current system, and use that one.

You can get by with Chazus' build but I would suggest this. WoW is one of those games that uses ram more that CPU. 8 gigs of ram is more than enough but 4 is a bit low. I know you aren't doing a max build but I assume you want to get better FPS and while everything else is great for a minimum spec build, 4 gigs of ram is a bit low imo.

    Buy a win8.1 64bit key here for 18$
Verify the key with microsoft tool
Download the image and mount it with windows usb tool

    Total: 500$

The setup is build around you overclocking that cpu as hell. It will do as good as i5 overclocked to 4-4.5Ghz. Not much multitasking cause this pentium is a 2 core but you can overclock it very easy (just watch a couple utube videos) and raid with no problems.

edit: Also this mobo will support any i5k/i7k cpu's if you wish to upgrade it down the road.

Does that license key thing... actually work? It looks super shady. I've seen people recommend it but never heard any feedback. Is it JUST an upgrade or what?

They are MSDN keys if I recall correctly. Basically you pay for it and it gets at least 10 activations, hence the lower cost. The only caveat is they can revoke the license anytime they please(which they never have before).

Why would you get an H81m+gtx750 when you can get a Z97+gtx 750ti? So you can fit the a small ssd that is mid range speed wise? Aint worth it especially considering he is getting locked out of next cpu's.

A Z97 board is 40$ more, a 750 ti is 50$ more basically 90$ wasted for no performance gain. And broadwell isn't worth it and Skylake won't work on any lga 1150 boards.

In super cheap budget range NOT getting a HDD and opting for small SSD instead will give bigger speed boost than any other component. SSD will not help with FPS but it will make the computer feel twice as fast.
