Went to school for ATC. All the chumps who replaced the strikers in the 1980s are retiring, so lots of job opportunities.

I finish college with my degree, apply . . . and the government shuts down and the FAA enters a hiring freeze.

    Fuck. You. John. Boehner.

Mine has to be crashing on a motorcycle a week ago, and now crashing on a car last night, barely crawled out of the burning wreckage. Those are my only vehicular accidents ever and I'm already in my 30's.

Lets hear them stories of Lady Luck giving you the finger!
    Where you drunk?

I do NOT believe the red bolded portion of your retelling of an otherwise heroic adventure. However here is how I picture your interaction with Her Royal Highness after the heinous crime committed against you & your royal teacup~ (from 4:18 - 4:30 or so)

btw, loyal subject, we strongly suggest you watch the whole video for some excellent Kids In The Hall classic entertainment whilst brewing another kettle to pass the time more humorously :)

OT; yeesh, sorry about your bad luck & boo boos added to your already existing health problems. I know how trying that can be *comfort

‘golden repair’, is the Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold or silver lacquer. The aesthetic philosophy focuses on imperfections rather than attempting to disguise them, with the intention that the piece becomes both more valuable and more beautiful because of its history and for having been broken.

at age 18 i developed chronic epididymitis and chronic lower back pain + Ringing and fullness feeling in the Ears(tinitus) I sought out all kinds of doctors for 3 years and Still have not been told I have any particular condition they know of that caused it, it just happened. Im currently untreated. I just swallow aspirin like candy and use a lot of muscle cream. I wake up every day in pain and it takes hours to go away only to resurface moments later.

Been through Physical therapy and tried numerous drugs. I also tried Pain blocking steroidial injections.

It feels like constantly being kicked in the balls and just a dull ache in the back.

The ear ringing is pretty awful when trying to sleep and whenever i swallow or yawn i hear and feel a crackle.

Got my wife pregnant while she was on the pill, I used a rubber, and pulled out.

Post of the thread, right here!

OT: I've been pretty lucky, actually. The one bad accident I was in ended with none of us being hurt much at all. My romantic relationships haven't worked out so well, but that's life I guess.

    *comfort~

In regards to your tinnitus, I know how annoying it can be. I also have the crackle in both ears while swallowing or yawning & can't get a straight answer on it. Meniere's disease was brought up but I don't have the nystagmus associated with it so who knows. Try to sleep with a fan/white noise/even the tv on low so its not the constant damn droning of that endless ringing. BTW, aspirin can add to the ringing too as well as cause some severe stomach/intestinal issues. Be careful there. Try some non-aspirin or non NSAIDS instead of a constant stream of aspirin. I know untreated pain can make us try just about anything -I went thru a decade of surgeries/meds/therapies & treatments until my 2 diseases were ultimately considered intractable & I finally got into pain management. I know how desperate you can feel while in pain.

Ask your damn dr. for a referral to specialists or pain management. Don't give up & if your dr. offers nothing, keep looking until you find a dr. who listens & tries to help. Don't continue to pay some fucker who isn't even trying to help you. Look up some local forums about your health issues & seek out ppl who give good reviews of doctor(s) best of luck to you *comfort, *hugs.

Just heard a "Thunk, Thunk, Thunk" sound coming from the dryer after I took some bed sheets from the washer.
Turns out I had somehow managed to put the remote control for the digital receiver in the bedroom through the wash >.< its now sat in some dried rice after being cleaned out with distilled water.
thats not the worst of it though, The TV is now stuck on BBC1 /sigh

You survived a Motorcycle accident which itself is really lucky, but to then survive a Car crash less then a week later, having gotten out of it before it became engulfed in flames, and you think you're unlucky?

Personally, I got a bit of popcorn stuck in my teeth while watching Guardians of the Galaxy. That was horrible!
You do make a point, one which I realised a bit late, lets put it down to brain damage eh? Btw I think having to watch GotG is worse than the corn..

The only bad luck I might consider is social awkwardness and or having a father who's quality of life is utter shit right now.

I've been pretty lucky when I think about it.

It's kind of finding the silver lining anything though. I have psoriasis but it's only a mild case and it's on my scalp and I'm perfectly healthy otherwise.

My parents got divorced but that was a fortunate set of circumstance for both my brother and I. It's hard to argue with each other if they're gone and I never have to see my whore mother again.

We're poor, but we have some really nice gear when it comes to gaming.

We have 1MB/s and it's split amongst five people but there's no data caps.

We're in the countryside but only a few miles away from civilization.

etc, etc. For every niggling little bad thing it seems to just have the silver lining that makes it a-okay for some reason. It seems to really be down to whether you're a pessimist or an optimist because walking out of a wreck peachy keen is a godsend compared to some people.

I consider myself lucky. But many people in my place would think otherwise. To each their own.
Rincewind: Ah! We may, in fact, have reached the root of the problem. However it's a silly problem and so I am suddenly going to stop talking to you.
