Lately more and more people are trying no-fap, but I couldn't find any topic here, so here it is.
What is no-fap?
No-fap is about abstaining from porn, masturbation and orgasm, in order to ultimately 'reboot' your brain and recover your natural sexual behavior and stance towards women. If you're used to watching porn and masturbating, your brain can get pretty messed up. This might lead to problems such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, willpower erosion, etc.
If the following more or less applies to you, no-fap can change your life for the better:
- You watch and masturbate to porn
- The kind of porn you watch is slowly changing (more and more hardcore or crazy porn)
- Porn is one of the more, or most, interesting thing(s) in your daily/weekly life
This video explains why no-fap might be important for you:

It's important to understand that in order to rewire your brain you must abstain from porn ánd masturbation for an extended period of time. In general people are reporting that this takes about 90 days. This is about 100 times harder then you might think, expect to fail a few times before you can make it.
What no-fap did for me:
It took me 2 months of trying and failing, but I'm now on day 35. At this point I'm pretty much used to this 'new life' without porn and masturbation, so I expect to make it to day 90 and beyond. What I've noticed so far:
- I struggled with depression for 5+ years, but it's pretty much gone now
- I feel a whole lot better about myself
- Other women, even really pretty ones, are not scary anymore. I can just talk to them (even though I feel like getting a heart-attack ofcourse)
- Being around women became fun and interesting
- My whole life became more interesting
- I waste a lot less time on stupid things
- Easier to concentrate, less procastrination
- My body looks better, more muscle and better skin texture
- My voice got somewhat deeper
- I started caring for the simple things in life
Basically for the first time in my life I'm pretty content with myself and my life in general.
Important!
This will likely turn into a lively discussion about how internet-porn is, or isn't, 'bad' for you. No-fap doesn't prove that porn is bad for you, but it does seem some individuals might be a whole lot better off without porn.
Looking at what no-fap did for me I just want other people to know about it. Post your no-fap questions or experiences here.
