While it was a fun concept, nowadays it really wouldn't work not only because of the playerbase wanting to buy/sell stuff ASAP, but also because if it was the only way of buying and selling, people would start using bots to sell and buy. Prime example for this is Oldschool RuneScape where you have to manually trade a person and look up their offers to buy and sell, and while it might -seem- "fun', all it is is annoying to buy and sell small quantities of items. Besides that, there are bots buying and selling as well which defeats the purpose.

Yeah, i still remember the ol times at the cities going "Selling 20 blank runes 1k gold" 8(
Cod has a new campaign, new weapons, new multiplayer levels every year. Zelda has been recycling the same weapons, villains, and dungeons since the 80's. Zelda recycles enough to make cod blush. The same weapons, villains, dungeons, and princess in every single Zelda for the most part. It's almost as cheesy as bowser vs Mario round 35

Absolutely this. We old school gamers from the MUDs, Ultima, Everquest, EVE, etc, are being replaced by the arrogant CoD and BF generations (No, not changing subject) who are just to; "You want that item, you know how much it costs, save up enough and you get it just like that" that the AI shops in modern games offer. The entire idea of "This item you have to get from another player, who your going to have to struggle with on a price for before you can get it" is completely alien to them. And, if it's alien to them, and they don't know how to deal with it, they just move on.
