The Frontpage makes me lag cause of the countdown (i think)

Hey i am not sure if i am only one but since today if i go to frontpage i get terrible FPS while i do other things aswell, usually its not that bad but if i log on frontpage, my WoW FPS goes from 40 to 3:P Any chance i can fix this or something?

MMO-Champion always gives me trouble too. The chrome process for it will run up to 650k memory usage at times.

If it's hitting your FPS I don't think it's the front page, not doing anything to me. How many tabs do you have open?

Just 2, but other one is twitch which also usually gives quite a big deal in FPS, but never this bad though

The front page has been laggy since the latest build because of the like 25 individual MP3 tracks.

MMO-Champion has always been terrible for lag and loading up it's like someone smeared the website with feces and java scripts.

Probably because there are 20 or so youtube embeds on the front page.

Disable videos from preloading/pre-playing. Ever since I did that, I have no issues. I did it a while back when the rampant Auto-Start video pandemic started.

Edit: In chrome:

open chrome, type chrome://chrome/settings/content into the URL bar.
Hit enter, scroll down to "Plug Ins" and change the option to "Click To Play".

This way, they don't autoload/autoplay and you can choose to watch whatever you want by clicking on it.

I'd guess what's making you lag are the 30 youtube videos embedded in the second post of the front page. Whoever thought that was a good idea clearly never visit their own website. It's quite inconsiderate. Even on my computer it lags me a few seconds when I first open MMO-Champ.

Could always make it so you have to activate them instead of them loading as soon as you visit the page. <.<
