Lore-wise, I think mounts are considered pets and you don't have to be a hunters to have a pet, but that's just lore-wise.

Thematically it would either be a Lion (Alliance) or a Wolf (Avatar of Goldrinn). Since Wolves are anatomically close to Wargs in this game (Even Goldrinn uses a Warg model, not a Wolf), I'd go with a Lion to make it not clash too much with the Wargs of the Horde. Also a Hawk, because Hawks are cool.
