His response was a quote not from the Quran. He wasn't disagreeing that the Quran has those printed words, he was disagreeing that that is the message by showing the words of a person that is considered widely to have been a prophet for said religion. In other words, the contention is that either that text is interpreted differently by most Muslims or that most Muslims have moved past it.
Except you didn't quote the full contexts of these verses. You are doing the same thing the religious leaders of Islam use to promote hatred against western culture. These verses apply when fighting a war or repelling an invader. They don't apply in everyday life. In everyday life, the Qur'an says to respect other faiths.
Disrespecting someone based on them thinking differently from you? That's intolerance. We should not be tolerant of intolerance. Therefore you are the problem. Merely thinking has no impact on your life.
You really don't help yourself. What a joyous world you must live in. You are the problem whether you accept it or not, and not Mr Ahmed who goes to his local Mosque and doesn't eat bacon - otherwise, living the same life as you.
I think its fear for Muslims, some people are more easily scared of things they don't understand then others.
And because of this you get bullshit excuses for racism and religious bashing. Funny how some xtians on this forum always are the first to point out nation/religion bashing but are completly ok with blaming all misery in the world on the Muslim faith.
Since we've allready devolved into religious debate and other bad posting I'm just going to close this thread down here before we get more of it.
