All faction leaders from WoW. Aside from that, Mal'ganis or Varimatras or something maybe? Some of the prime evils from Diablo, Zoltan Kulle or Adria or maybe the monk character. Don't really play SC so I don't know any of those chars.
Zealot Fenix for sho'! With a Plasma Shield that rapidly regenerates after a few sec of not being hit
Firebats would work too. "Ranged" Warrior (ie beefy with short range splash Flamethrower)
It's a bit tricky though - most of the "established" lore characters are either ranged, already flagged as Assassins (Kerrigan would have been a GREAT candidate for Warrior over Assassin with the natural tankiness from her passive) or Zerg units already in use (Torrasque is an obvious choice for Starcraft Warrior buuuuut Kerrigan already has the Ultralisk ult...)

Covetus Shen would make a neat Support hero, much like Deckard Cain. Though maybe he should be a Specialist since he'd likely bribe all the mercs with his gems.
D3 monk could be an ideal Support character too. Healing mantras, AoE blinds/stuns and lots of movement/evasion mechanics could make them a useful defensive/buffer hero.
"El Psy Kongroo!" Hearthstone Moderator
Definitely Kaelthas i loved playing him on Warcraft oh and Velen would be lovely as well.
Khadgar and Alleria! Glory to the Alliance!
Lor'themar Theron, Lady Liadrin, Yrel, Garrosh Hellscream, the Warlords of Draenor,' Kael'thas, Yogg Sarron and finally Jaraxxus.
Kael'thas as a fire Mage would be cool
I'd love to see a monk from Diablo 3, maybe work sort of like wukong or leishin from lol, marry fast and agile, think it could work well
And there should be a feral Druid hero, the ability to shift into a bear and get a few different abilities, a cat with different abilities and something else. I think there is a similar hero in lol or dota that shapeshifts.
That'd be awesome ! Make him sorta like Udyr from LoL:
Broll Bearmantle Melee Warrior.
Mount: Would be unable to use mount, but pushing Z would turn you into Stormcrow form, increasing speed (would basically be a mount, but would look like Flight Form, because fuck yeah, Flight Form!)
Trait: Maybe something to encourage shifting... Something like "Whenever you shift into a form, gain a buff lowering the mana cost of your next shift by 10% for 5 seconds, stacking up to 5"
Q: Bear Form, On Activation: Gain X temporary health Passive: on attack gain 1% damage reduction for Basic attacks stacking 10 times.
W: Cat form, On Activation: your next attack deals 50% bonus damage Passive All attacks apply a bleed for 10% of the damage done over 10 seconds, stacking 5 times.
E: Moonkin Form, on Activation: Jump a medium distance backwards, dealing a small amount of damage in the area you just left Passive: your attacks gain x range and now splash in a small AoE
R1: King of the Jungle: your next shift is empowered, increasing it's active and passive effects by 100% for 10 seconds
R2: Thrash: Deal a small amount of damage AoE and applying a large amount of damage over 10 seconds.
Talents
Trait: Increases cost reduction for shifting to 15%. Grants 2% CDR per stack.
Q: applies DR to Ability Damage as well. Increases size of passive Shield, increases duration of shield.
W: Increases speed in Cat form while out of combat. Increases damage dealt to structures. Gain 2% attack speed per bleed stack.
E: Increases the distance jumped. Increases your attack range further. Increases the damage of the splash.
R1: Increases the effect of all your shifts by 10% all the time.
R2: Increases damage taken by enemies by 20% while they're afflicted with the DoT
Other talents would be standard Warrior stuff. Regen Master, Burning Rage, Blood for Blood etc.
I figure he would be something of a Jack of all trades. His bear form would be great for initiating, his Cat form for splitpushing and nuking turrets and his Mookin form for Teamfighting and nuking down large groups. Then R1 would further increase his adaptability and R2 is just pure damage/teamfighting.

Gul'dan I'd love to see as he has a huge history in WoW and is the most powerful Warlock in the history of WoW. And Vol'jin because well...he's Warchief now and I like his look.
I agree, the best 3 candidates are probably Artanis, Fenix, and Dehaka. They've got plenty of options to do it.
As much as I love Warcraft heroes, there's a bit too many in proportion right now. I think after Sylvanas/Thrall/Lost Vikings are added in the coming weeks, they should work on a Starcraft Warrior and Diablo Support.
Another suggestion
And I'm really just ripping from lol here I suppose, but I think hots needs to some more variety, it's pool of heroes is still very small and there's not enough variety among them IMO.
So a hero that uses health as a resource, with a heavy focus on life stealing.
Only charatcer I know of from blizzard for this is the icc boss I suppose, but there are probably vampires in Diablo or something.
To be fair, the character pool to draw from is HUGELY skewed towards Warcraft. Especially named, major lore characters - Diablo for instance had to make up "named" Heroes for Barb, WD and DH. Starcraft has a small handful of named characters and a lot of them are very similar (Raynor and Tychus both as Marines) or non-combatants (Mengsk, Matt Horner, Valerian) and are overwhelmingly Assassins.
A Science Vessel would be a good idea for a support. And as mentioned above, Dehaka would be a great Warrior (had forgotten about him!).

I'm unfortunately ignorant on Diablo and Starcraft lore, so I wouldn't have any idea who to add as a hero. I do hope they add more heroes from those universes.
If I get a Starcraft quest, all I play is Tychus or Hammer (if she's free). If I get a Diablo quest, all I play is Sonya or Nazeebo (if he's free).
