    Help with a new PC.

Closing this thread since another was created here: http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...-with-a-new-PC

Okay so i'm trying to get back into gaming a little bit. As of right now im using an old Dell comp from like 2006-2007. Surprisingly i can still play wow, on very low settings, but i can still play. So i think its time to upgrade. I don't really know much about computers just the basics. I'm looking for a computer that i can buy already built and that i can just upgrade over time. So basically a good starting point and as time goes on i will upgrade as i learn more. Right now all i play is WoW and LoL. Hoping to have something good before Draenor. I'm going to post a couple that ive been looking at and hoping that someone could tell me if its a good starting point. And if anyone is willing to help me out i would greatly appreciate it if someone could take the time out and find something that is something they think is a good one. Looking to spend no more then 700-750 before taxes. Thanks all

Wrong forum buddy, you will find much more help in the computer build specific forums.

I'm sure you'll get some decent answers, if not I'll have a more thorough look tomorrow morning at them for you, but at first glance I'm not a great fan of any. Maybe I'm setting standards too high for your price bracket but none of the graphics cards set my world on fire, and not the hugest fan of i5's. i7 or go home really, imo, though again maybe I'm overestimating what you can get for your money, I'm not really accustomed to what you can get for your money with pre-built PC's.

Will have a better look tomorrow morning if no one replies though.

That would be great. Thank you so much i really appreciate it. But If i had $1500-$2000 for a computer i would defiantly go to town. But i dont haha, so im just looking for a good starting point so that i can upgrade to the i7 and the good graphics eventually.

Well, you may struggle upgrading your processor like that. The higher end i7's use an LGA 1366 socket which I don't believe any i5's use, so you'd have to replcae your motherboard at the same time, and if you're replacing your mobo, cpu and graphics card you may as well just get a whole new PC. I pretty strongly believe in getting a damn good cpu and the best motherboard you can to begin with, as then you can swap and change everything else as and when you need to on it's own. Need a new gpu? hock the old one one on ebay and upgrade. Need more memory? switch it up. Need more storage? whack another SSD or HDD in there and you're good to go. etcetc

More people may read this forum, but people specifically into computers are in those forums all the time
