    My First Build: ~$600 Budget

Hello all, felt like posting here to get some advice on my build to see if it is ok. Any suggestions are appreciated =) If this is in the wrong forum please move it. So lets begin:

-Dell S2340M 60Hz 23.0" Monitor (not sure if it is the M or L but I have it from before since my old monitor went a year or so ago)

-Western Digital BLACK SERIES 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (friend bought it for me so already have it)

    - Have a full ATX case, not sure which brand it is. All I can give is it has a white V shape on the front and has a panel that can be pulled on the front to reveal the DVD drive. It has 3 smaller fans with the usual big fan on the back. So if that helps that is cool.

-Windows 7 (a friend is getting a copy for me)

    -AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor

    -Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard

    -Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

    -Sapphire Radeon R9 270 2GB Dual-X Video Card

-Cooler Master VSM 650W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

What games do you play primarily and where are you located(country-wise)?
If you must insist on using a non-sanctioned sitting apparatus, please consider the tensile strength
of the materials present in the object in question in comparison to your own mass volumetric density.

In other words, stop breaking shit with your fat ass.

Looks solid, but just in case you didn't know... the stock cooler that comes with AMD FX processors is known to be very loud, so you might want to look into a low priced aftermarket air cooler if you aren't already. It will also allow you to do a bit of overclocking.

Well, I really haven't played anything in awhile since I have been in school but I want to get back into it. I am in the US and what kind of air cooler would you recommend?

Hyper 212 evo. The stock AMD cooler is pretty good, its just loud. I had my fx 8350 up to 4.4 on one for a while with no issues. Beware if all youre doing is playing WoW an intel setup is better, although I dont notice a big enough difference to really care. My regret is ARMA 3 on AMD.

So I was thinking, what would be a good Intel build? Just curious since I hear Intel is better for gaming.

So, you don't need a case, HDD or monitor, correct?

Yes that is correct, I have those already Remilia.

If you can stretch to $650, you can upgrade the R9-270X to the Club3D R9-280X royalQueen GPU, which is $219.99 on NCIX. Otherwise, that build is going to be solid for basic gaming.

That does sound good. Seems I will be able to make my budget to around $800 now. I am thinking I may wait till black Friday for good deals, what do you think? Anyone have any good experiences with black Friday deals?

Well if you can jump to 800$ then you can go for a i5/Z97 setup easily.

how will the 4690k build work in wow and other games like skyrim or crysis?

The overclocking capacity on the k-series allows essentially 'free' performance boosts in MMO games. The GPU is also decent enough that you'll run most games at high on 1080p without AA.
