    Ughh American chocolate is vile

    The Kit Kat thread made me want chocolate, unfortunately the only chocolate in was a American selection courtesy from family in Florida. I forgot how bloody awful it was. I know for some reason it's prepared differently over there but now i'm craving nice chocolate

    Depends what kind of chocolate it was. With 300 million + we have every kind including European.

    Hershey's is different, Hershey came up with a process to combine milk and chocolate that tastes funny compared to any not raised on it.

    Mass produced chocolate, in particular hershey's is pretty vile.

    Most chocolate is more milk fat and sugar than cocoa. The only chocolate I will eat is 70%+, and sometimes, if I can get my hands on them, I'll just buy roasted cacao beans and snack on them. They're more bitter than cooking chocolate, but I love them, and raw, unprocessed cacao is very healthy for you.

    I don't like milk chocolate. At least not the kind here in the States. I don't mind the darker chocolate here, though. I really love anything with 60%+ Cacao.

    Not all American chocolate taste the same, unless we know what kind you ate it is a toss up. It could have chocolate, chocolate "like" or the really cheap stuff.
