    Double checking my build

A few months back I had asked for some help putting a part list together so I had an idea of how much to save for. Now that I'm ready to buy and build, I'm wanting to make sure everything is correct. I want to make sure I didn't miss any changes that should have been made or that no new parts have come out that should be in here instead.

My goals with this computer are to have something that can play all current games at max settings with ease. The computer I'm replacing could do this back when it was new, I've had it for about 7 years and it's only in the last year started to really show it's age. Sure I've had to slowly down the settings over the years, but mostly it's run just fine. I'm hoping to have another computer that will last like that.

Thank you all for taking a look at my build and helping me make sure it's in good shape.

You've got a Z87 listed for some reason, here's the latest version of that motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813130766

    It works but...

    - cpu and mobo are previous gen (z97 + i5-4790k would be current)
    - cpu cooler is decent but bit overpriced, Corsair H100i gives better performance at little extra cost

And go for an Asus mobo, top notch

This is one of the reasons why I was double checking the build. Like I said, put it together some time ago so I was worried new parts had come out since then.

Thanks everyone for the help! Updating the part list now.

I don't know hardware very well, what's the difference between those two motherboards? I can't see a difference.

Also I just realized I forgot something. I need a wireless card as well. The printer we have works wirelessly so the ability to print will be nice.

So how do you connect to your lan/internet? proper cable or wireless? As far as the mobo's go, they are pretty much the same, both good boards. What i have been reading about from various post is that MSI has poor QC but take that as you will.

    Currently? Cable.

EDIT: I should add that the printer is set in a central location in the house to everyone can easily use it...but me, cause I didn't need a wireless card when I got my current computer :P

Just buy a pci-e wifi adapter. I am not sure you can bridge the mobo lan with the pci-e adapter, if thats what you had in mind.
