    home trainer

    hi guys,

i hope you guys can help with the following; looking for a good quality home trainer (one of those stationary bicycles). winter is coming and i have no intention of going biking outside in this weather, i hate it.

something around i dunno 150/200 euro or 250 USD max new price. im in Europe, the netherlands to be more specific if that helps in brand availability.

if it has some variable programs thats preferred. doesn't need a heartbeat register but an MPH/KPH and RPM counter would be required.

thanks in advance for any suggestions

Have you considered an indoor resistance attachment to your bike? Something like this: http://www.rei.com/product/863022/cy...d|53280763000|

Yeah, something like a Cycleops is a great solution here. You'll be on your usual bike, set up just like normal, and if you get one of the good quality ones, you'll be able to shift to change resistance whenever you want.

One thing to note is that you'll be best served buying a tire for it - don't blow through good road tires inside!
