Diablo 3 for Xbox One - Couch Coop, Online?

Hey guys.

I'm picking up an Xbox One in the next couple days, and I had questions about D3. I'm always looking for Coop games my fiancee and I can play. Don't know how into D3 she would be, but it's something I can investigate.

But it needs to meet a couple requirements:

-Does it have Couch coop? As in, 2 players, 2 controllers, 1 Xbox, 1 screen?
-How does the online portion work? Can I play the game without Xbox Live, or is that required?

yes it has couch coop (at least the xbox 360 version does, don't see why xbone would be different)

and i don't think you need xbox live to play through singleplayer

This xbox.com article says you can play co-op offline (couch) as well.
Checking further, it seems to be confirmed by various comments on different sites.

I can confirm via anecdotal evidence that you can couch mode offline.
