Maybe so. But I belong in Småland. Even if I'm in Finland the forest just isn't the same as the ones at home.

As for social democratic foundation I mean free health care, education etc.

Pretty lucky to be in the US. Not a fan of Republican ideology and big corporate interest making the direction of the country, but still prefer here. I always thought about maybe the UK, but this weird aristocracy shit does not make sense to me.

No, but given recent events here in Australia, I feel some of them don't belong here.

Yes. Living in the southern U.S. is annoying for me. Believing in socialism, being a democrat, and being an atheist can make people look at you funny down here. I would love to live some where in Europe, but I feel some of my other beliefs would conflict with the cultures over there too. Things like capital and corporal punishment. I'd probably be a crazy right winger over there and a crazy left winger over here. :P

30C = 90F. This is the average summer temperature for much of the Continental US. Add humidity that ranges from 70-90% most days and it feels like 100F (38C)...

Add that to one of the reasons I want to get out of here. I live next to the Okefenokee Swamp :/

So how exactly aren't you people just boiling over there?

Anything around / above 25Cº and I'm almost having a heart attack.

You get used to it. By the end of the summer it doesn't bother you as much. It's starting to drop now thankfully.

Honestly the south feels better than the north in the summer. I grew up in the Syracuse NY area, and 90F/32C with 89%-95% humidity feels like death is all around you. Whereas in Raleigh, NC (my current residence, Syr will always be home) it just feels seasonable. It's amazing what 700mi/1130kM difference in latitude can be...

Maybe a bit. There's a lot of things that I disagree with when it comes to values among people my age, but I don't think there's anywhere I'd fit better these days.

I do indeed feel like I don't belong in my country. I don't share the mentality of those around me and don't agree with the point of view of the majority. There are serious flaws in education, economy and social policies which are terribly foreboding in the long-term.

I do have a country I'd rather be in, but not having a lot of luck finding a job there. Oh well...

Fayettenam, great place... Never want to leave here.

All sarcasm aside I don't mind it as I'm used to it but I don't belong here that's for sure. I have to say if you can live out in the country or a village in the UK then that was the way to live. Towns nearby with one major city is perfect while you live in the relative solitude called English countryside or village.
    Hey everyone

Heh, climate wise, I'm from Poland where summers are sometimes hot but more often it's a bit of heat and a lot of fail weather (like for example whole July raining, meh), I've moved to Greece to live with my husband and I enjoy the solid sunny 35 degrees summers it's just I need to watch my skin as it gets red easily. But I do enjoy proper hot summers. My sister though often travels to Svalbard, Norway for her work and when she calls me and says "oh it's quite warm today, +10", I'm like "how can you even live like that and enjoy it". In Greece 10 degrees is winter. In Poland it's kinda early spring temperature. On Svalbard, that's summer. Funny.

I lived in UK about half a year and I'm not even sure if there are proper seasons there or just all year the same... Well there was 2 weeks warmth in summer but friends I lived with said that was an anomaly.

One thing I regret is that summer is ending. I wonder if there's a country with warm climate all year round and not too humid (too many insects with that) that is well developed and safe to live, that would be my dream destination.

P.S. The only thing I don't understand about summer here is people overdoing the air conditioning thingy, I wonder how much electricity bills all those shops pay as when you go inside during summer it feels like you entered a fridge.
