Blood DK CM BiS Shoulders Question

So after looking around a lot, most blood dks go for Metabolically Boosted Shoulderpads or Shoulderpads of Centripedal Destruction, but why? They both only have one socket and neither of them has any special scaling. Can someone please explain why dks should these over other 2 socket shoulders?
