Ye gods no. We're in a much better place now.

Always look forward. Always improve. Don't get hung up on the past, wishing things could go back to the way they were. Down that path lies madness and repeating history's mistakes.

I had a Sega Megadrive and I was damned grateful, it was a huge upgrade to my Commodore 64.

I only ever had a NES during the 90's I had to make do with it while I saw other kids get SNES, Sega, N64, Playstation, etc.
Never got to play many classics except on occasion at someones house or an in store demo.

The 90's were good. A lot of fond memories of those times.

The end of the 90's were better than the beginning of the 90's though.

I mean, Warcraft Orcs vs. Humans came out in 1994 and it wasn't till '96 that we got Warcraft 2...

    The early 90's had

Which counts a fair whack in their favour though :P

    How old are you?

It also used your phone line, so you either had internet or a phone or two very expensive lines.

I honestly don't know if "There was no internet" is that compelling of an argument. I honestly don't know if the prevalence of the internet is a good thing (or even its creation). Yes, I can feel irony in that statement, since I am using the internet.

But yes, I miss the 80s and 90s prior to 1998.

I was born in the late 80s, and while I am glad I grew up in the 90s, I don't exactly want them back.

Aw man the last thing I need is feeling like knowing that noise is old.

The one and only reason I would not go back to the 90s is internet access. I'm all ok with no cell phones and all, but no internet is a dealbreaker for me . Granted I had pathetic dial up at the time.... but man oh man would I cry with that now....

C&C wasn't till '95. The late 90's were better mostly due to C&C, Warcraft 2 and then later, Goldeneye and Half-Life.

Hows this for making you feel old, some of the people you are replying to on this forum are old enough to be your teenage children.

I remember back in the 90's when it wasn't cool to be a nerd.

    Then something happened. o.O

I remember the chat room in magic the gathering on TEN network. That started my internet addiction. Also diablo1 chat rooms.

Woah man, I don't think I'm that old yet.

The dial up noise was like, my childhood though.
