First time building, need help! (~$800)

Okay, so first I'd like to say that the computer I have now is from 2008 and I really really really am looking forward to building my own. The one I currently own is a HP Pavilion m9250f and here it is: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/sit...tte.cachetoken It is an OKAY computer, I run WoW on Fair settings with about ~70FPS on 1440x900.
(Might I add, in 2010 or so, I replaced the video card with a GTX 550 Ti)

I do not want to replace anything, this thing is garbage and sometimes it takes a good full 5 minutes to exit WoW or even things like iTunes. I do blame Vista, but I also think that 4GB of Ram and a shitty processor, and shitty everything else is what is the problem.

But now, the real problem is what I'm going to buy. The only game I really kinda play is WoW, other stuff here and there, but I just want to play it on 1920x1080 without having my computer to slow up so much and sometimes take 2 minutes to tab out of WoW. I dont want to go on my phone for safari instead of google chrome on my computer because there isn't enough memory and it takes 5 minutes to try and search something, etc.

I have this as an idea:
    PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/xhg2jX
    Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/xhg2jX/by_merchant/

    CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor ($188.00)
Motherboard: Asus H97M-PLUS Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($104.99 @ Amazon)
    Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($86.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Sandisk Extreme II 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($79.99 @ Newegg)
    Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($53.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 760 2GB DirectCU II Video Card ($219.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Corsair Vengeance C70 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($109.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ Amazon)
    Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($20.95)
    Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32/64-bit) ($109.22)
    Monitor: Acer S220HQLAbd 21.5" Monitor ($99.99 @ Amazon)
    total = $1124.09

But I think this is for sure way tooo much for just running like 5 tabs on chrome, itunes, vent and WoW. (realistically that's all i do, lol) but it just seems like its needed because this computer is crap (Its on amazon now for $250, ugh) and i really need to upgrade

tell me what you think and all that! I want to stick to Intel and nvidia,
TOTAL including the OS and monitor, I kinda want to be between $900-1000.

You get i5-4690K + aftermarket cooler + ASUS Z97 for overclocking, 8GB RAM, HDD but you can always add an SSD later on, GTX 760 (as you want NVIDIA), had to go for budget case but functional, monitor was cheapest 24" I could find but is ASUS brand & 24". Overall solid platform and can add to/modify in future for even better performance (e.g. SSD, different case, GTX 970, AIO liquid cooler for higher overclock).

Oh btw as you play WoW having an overclocked i5-4690K will really help out, with it being CPU heavy.

P.S. Did edit this build changing ASROCK Z97 Pro 3 to ASUS Z97-P...both same price but think ASUS might be better build quality than ASROCK (not sure though as limited knowledge of ASROCK).

You can't really fit the ssd in there without sucrificing something else. You will either get a cheap bad monitor or go for an i3 setup. The following build as the above, give's you the ability now or in the future to overclock the cpu for that extra performance when needed. When you do so you will need an aftermarket cooler not included below.
