    First Case of Ebola in the US in Dallas, TX

    Guess there is going to be a news conference about it at 5:30 PM EST.

    Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas officials said in a statement earlier Monday that an unnamed patient was being tested for Ebola and had been placed in "strict isolation" due to the patient's symptoms and recent travel history.

    Pretty sure its not the first case in the US. But not to worry as long as its contained.

    Well first case that wasn't brought here to seek treatment. First case that was brought here from someone traveling in Africa that wasn't someone trying to help. Problem is we don't know who they traveled with or how they traveled here.

    Well it's almost time to start human trials on the 3-5 drugs we have on experimental stages atm. So... yea people will either die or get better.

    Sucks because that person could have been in contact with hundreds of other people before even suspecting he/she may have ebola. That would mean those people may not know for another month an so on....

    Yeah the one guy that came here first was given one of these drugs and I think it cured him as he was released from the hospital. I don't know about the 2nd one that came in as I haven't heard anything about her.

    So ironically, my mother was concerned I might have to go to Angola, but felt relieved when I went to Scotland instead. Yet I was in the Dallas airport a little over a week ago, where there may have been Ebola, but there's no Ebola in Angola.

    As their recent travel history is being taken into account, I think they do know how they got there.

    Still worrying though as it is the first known case that came in under uncontrolled conditions.
